Step
1 Registration
We need accurate, up to date details of your experience
and skills in the form of a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and
a completed registration form, with Proof of
Identity and Right to work in UK and Proof of Qualifications.
The registration form can be completed on this site and submitted with your CV, you will receive an acknowledgement of our receipt. Should you drop into our office you will be given an application form to complete, or registration can be completed online. This form is very useful and important to us for information.
What we require from you
- We need accurate, up to date
details of your experience and skills in the form
of a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a completed registration
form.
- If you do not have a Curriculum
Vitae, please feel free to speak with one of our
Recruitment Specialists, who will be able to advise
you.
What happens
to your details
?
- Receipt of the above information will be acknowledged, and where appropriate you will be contacted for interview.
- Your personal details will be placed on our database to allow us to search and match your skills to a suitable vacancy.
Step 2
Appointment with a Recruitment Specialist
We wish to work
in partnership with you to secure the position you are
seeking, and it is important to have the knowledge of your skills, experience, employment and job history - this will mean getting to know you a little, so
- Where appropriate an appointment will be arranged for a telephone interview, or preferably a one to one to meet with one of our experienced Recruitment Specialists.
- The one to one interview
will be conducted in the privacy of our interview
room. This will give the Recruitment Specialist
an opportunity to understand in detail the work
experience and skills you have to offer. It is also
important to explore exactly your ambitions and
requirements you seek. This process may take up
to one hour, so please allow enough time when arranging
your interview.
- To eliminate any possible
embarrassment for all parties, it is vital that
you are honest
with regard to skills, salary and qualifications. False information
may cause an offer of employment to be withdrawn
at a later date.
- Ensure the Recruitment Specialist
has all relevant contact numbers including mobile
and e-mail.
Step 3
Prove your Skills
How do we know
what you can do?
- If appropriate to your stated
skills, we will give you a short computer assessment
of skills that will provide us with a level of your
competence.
- We will request copies of
your certificates, such as degrees, A levels, construction
licences, health & safety certificates etc.
- Our registration form requests
two referees, whom we will approach only after consultation
and agreement with you.
Step 4
Matching your Details
- We work closely with a range
of companies nationally and locally. It is our aim
to place you into a position that will benefit your
development and that of the company.
- Your details will be matched
against a suitable job and person specification
of a vacancy registered by one of our clients. Once
matched, a Recruitment Specialist will speak with
you giving an outline of the job description, location
and confirm your skills. At this point it is your
choice if you wish to proceed and have your CV forwarded
to the client.
- It is important that you know
where your personal details are being sent and we
will only circulate with your prior consent.
If
you like the match we have offered you, then
- Your Curriculum Vitae and
a short profile, carefully drawn together from your
one to one interview, will be forwarded to the company
and we will discuss your skills, relevant experience
and requirements with our clients.
What if you
dont like the match we have offered you, then
- We would like you to give
your reasoning behind the rejection, so that we
can amend our database to ensure that we understand
your requirements for future matching.
Step 5
Client Review
- The Recruitment Specialist
will liaise with the client to arrange an interview
time on your behalf. We will forward written confirmation
of the interview and any other information we may
have on the company.
- If there is a job description,
ensure you read it and fully understand it prior
to your interview.
- Once offered an interview,
it is beneficial to find out as much as you can
about the client company, how to get there and how
long it will take you to arrive in good time for
your interview time. This preparation will help
you to be in control on the day of your interview.
- Be relaxed and take a copy
of your CV with you. You may also be asked to complete
their application form. Have questions prepared
to ask about the job and company. Do not start with
salary or holidays!
- It is important, at this stage
that you communicate closely with us especially
if you are unable to make the arranged time for
whatever reason.
- First impressions are extremely
important, so ensure you dress appropriately and
give a good handshake on meeting with your interviewer(s).
(If you are unsure what the dress code is for the
company you are meeting, please ask your Recruitment
Specialist, who will be able to tell you or find
out for you).
Step 6
Second Interviews
- Quite often the client company
will request a second interview to give you and
the company another opportunity to meet up and take
the process a step further.
- Use this to your advantage
and ensure that you have answers to all your questions
this will satisfy you that the position
and company is what you perceive them to be.
Step 7
Your Interview Feedback is Important
- The feedback you give us on
your interview is very important. It will allow
us to work on your behalf in a constructive and
decisive way so please be honest with us!
If, at any time, you are uncomfortable with any
part of your dealings with the client company, please
do not delay in speaking to the Recruitment Specialist
liaising on your behalf.
- Keep us informed of other
interviews you may be attending.
Step 8
Counter Offer from Current Employer
- Occasionally, on receiving
a resignation, a current employer will offer an
employee more money or some other incentive to stay
with them. Be aware of this and make no decision
until you have spoken with the Recruitment Specialist
handling your details.
- We have an information sheet
on counter offers, please ask for a copy.
Step 9
In your New Role
- It goes without saying that
we will wish you Good Luck as you
commence your exciting new role. We will contact
you on your first day, just to make sure you everything
is as it should be for you.
- Please do feel free to keep
in touch!
Step 10
Confidentiality
- At all times, your details
will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
- Discreet communication with
you is paramount, unless you have given prior permission
for us to speak openly to others with regard to
your personal issues.
- Your details will be archived after six months.
What happens
if you wish to withdraw your details from our database?
- On request, your details will
be deleted from our database and the hard copies
of any information on record will be disposed of
by a reputable company specialising in confidential
waste.
